Overall: 96Striking: 95Grappling: 96Submissions: 99 The long-time training partner of the aforementioned José Aldo and reigning Bantamweight champion, Renan Barao is on a winning streak stretching all the way back to 2005. This isnt to say hes an older fighter though the Brazilian is only 27-years-old. Where Aldo is more methodical and technical in his breaking down of an opponent, Barao is a wild card chagrining in with a flurry of attacks aimed at the oppositions chin. This clearly works for him though he was overcome all of the ultra-talented opponents the UFC has thrown at him including Urijah Faber (twice), Michael McDonald and Londons own Brad Pickett. The 99-rating EA have given to Baraos submission may seem insanely high but he has proven time-and-time again that he is insanely dangerous on the mat. Though in his recent fights Barao has demonstrated more striking techniques, historically most of his success has come through his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 14 of his 32 wins have ended with his opponent having to tap out from submission.
