3. Conor McGregor (94)
The Conor McGregor hype train was firmly derailed by Nate Diaz at UFC 197 - much to the shock of almost everyone except Diaz himself. The jump up in weight proved to be too big of a risk for the Irishman, who had previously unified the Featherweight division by stopping Jose Aldo in a staggering 13 seconds. The weaknesses in the Irishman's groundwork really showed in the octagon with Diaz, and he was forced to tap out after being put in a rear-naked choke. In spite of that, McGregor remains one of the best stand-up fighters in the world, and possibly the finest the featherweight division has to offer - having already taken out Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes. Prior to the recent Diaz loss, McGregor was unbeaten in the UFC, and had won Performance of the Night in his last four outings. The UFC 2 cover star isn't expected to be inactive for too long, with UFC 200 being cited as a possible point of return. Whether the hype train can re-find some momentum remains to be seen.
