EA Sports UFC Roster: 15 Most Shocking Fighter Omissions

5. Josh Barnett

The youngest-ever UFC Heavyweight Champion €“ winning the belt just aged 24 €“ Josh Barnett is still ranked in the UFC€™s top 10 heavyweights despite having made his debut for the promotion some 14-years ago. The Warmaster is arguably the best tactician in the division, always knowing which strategy to employ to best play to his strengths and his opponent€™s weaknesses. Incidentally, he also likes to call himself the toughest man on the planet to play Magic the Gathering (the collectable card game). With 10 of his wins coming by way of KO/TKO and 18 coming through his tricky submission game, Barnett is incredibly well rounded for a heavyweight and would have been extremely enjoyable to use on the game because of the diversity of his attacks. Though he was unceremoniously put to sleep in his last bout by some horrifying downward elbows from the big Hawaiian Travis Browne, prior to this Barnett had looked highly impressive in his first round TKO win over Frank Mir (a man who EA deemed worthy to include in the game). Barnett is not only a former champion but is also still a very potent force in the UFC€™s heaviest division and it is a curious choice on EA€™s part to leave him out
