Every Call Of Duty Campaign Ranked Worst To Best
11. Infinite Warfare
Look up "negative reaction" in the dictionary, chances are you'd be reminded of how upset everyone was when Infinite Warfare's trailer dropped back in 2016.
Fully adopting CoD's long-teased plan to go full sci-fi, Infinite Warfare lived to prove its detractors what it was really made of (even if many fans are too stubborn to admit it's a decent game).
The space battles make for some of CoD's greatest ever set pieces, sporting some daring combat options - piloting a ship in space? Genius - and effective thrills.
Alas, the game's downfall comes down to its plot. Now, there's no denying the game ends a lot stronger than it starts, but Infinite Warfare's predictable and uninspired opening act really lets it down. It's too familiar, and for some reason unwilling to push the boundaries of what it can achieve in its new setting.
The game also has a villain problem, with Kit Harrington really missing the mark in his lead role and the stakes dwindling with his presence.
