5. Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee!

Pokemon Lets go Mew
Nintendo

Release Date: Nov. 16th

A quasi-remake of Pokémon Yellow mixed with the catching mechanic and app integration of Pokémon GO, these Let's Go games will see you once again be a custom-named Pokémon trainer, journeying across the Kanto region to catch the original 150 yet again.

Fully remade graphics are the first big takeaway, but you can also port across your collection of creatures across to the Pokémon Go app, beaming across monsters from one to the other for a full day of gameplay.

The last thing worth pointing out is online multiplayer, coming in both Pokémon Stadium-style fights and an all-new two-on-two mode. Honestly, this is the best thing Nintendo could've done to capitalise on the surge in Poké-hype Niantic squandered after that initial popularity window, and we still have the "proper" Pokémon game coming in 2019.
