A loot shooter done right, it's almost like Ubisoft saw all the problems Anthem was going to encounter (as they too did with the first Division in 2016), and set about getting everything right to provide some healthy competition.
Rewarding loot that actually feels like you're getting somewhere after investing time? Check. Tactile options through gameplay to allow for flanking maneuvers, blind fire and taking cover? Check. Group encounters that CAN be tackled solo, but benefit four-fold by working as a squad for better drops? Check and match.
The Division 2 on the surface looks very similar to part one, but this is peak Ubisoft - iterating in all the right areas, touching up frame rates, graphical polish and general bugs, to produce one of the most streamlined and accessible loot games of the generation.
