The indie game scene is filled to the brim with titles referencing and homaging the classics titles of yesteryear. The original Legend of Zelda certainly gets its hat tipped towards it more often than not.

Sparklite is clearly taking that path and looks like a fine mix of old-school pixelated adventure with modern controls and self-awareness.

Within this indie sub-genre of the retro Zelda-like, Hyper Light Drifter remians the champ so far though.
