EVERY Resident Evil Game Ranked Worst To Best

17. Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Nemesis
Capcom

This standalone expansion to the original Resident Evil: Outbreak branches out and explores some more imaginitive scenarios; "Wild Things" sees infected zoo animals lumbering about and "Underbelly" takes to the subway for a giant mutated flea boss.

The most prominent story and the one fans remember most is "Desperate Times", which reveals the back-story of Racoon City police officer Marvin Branagh and how he was infected before the events of Resident Evil 2.

With its more oddball scenarios mixed with improved online multiplayer systems, Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 is the most ambitious effort the franchise taken in multiplayer gameplay, even if it didn't stick the landing fully. Due to poor sales a third entry in the spin-off series was scrapped.

Despite the official servers being shut down by Capcom, a fan effort to produce alternate servers revived the title in January 2014. There may well be other survivors still powering their way through this unique IP six years on.
