14. Trevor Phillips - GTA V
This one's sure to divide opinion. Trevor quickly became the breakout star of GTA V's three main characters, largely due to his anarchic, psychopathic antics. He is, in theory, the perfect Grand Theft Auto protagonist, a man willing to do or say anything in the name of mindless destruction. Therein lies the problem. Trevor's balls-to-the-wall style strips away any potential sympathy we may feel for him, rendering him little more than a wrecking ball for the player to swing around San Andreas. Supporters of Trevor argue that he is deliberately designed this way, a conscious reflection of the player. This is an admittedly novel idea, but doesn't excuse a protagonist with such a fundamental lack of compelling character traits. In all fairness, his dialogue is delivered incredibly by Steven Ogg, a solitary saving grace which prevents him from sliding further down this list.
