15. Huang Lee - GTA: Chinatown Wars

For a game with no spoken dialogue, and largely static, comic book-style cutscenes, Chinatown Wars does a decent job of infusing its protagonist with some sort of personality. Huang Lee doesn't fit the mould of a typical GTA anti-hero. Whereas most are entry-level criminals looking to make it big, he's the spoiled son of a triad boss. Most other GTA protagonists are either stoically strong, silent types, or all-guns-blazing balls of rage, but Huang retains some uniqueness with his wisecracking personality. He is naturally held back by the limitations of the game's style, a necessary decision regarding its compatibility with portable devices, but is at least a departure from the standard Grand Theft Auto model.
