Ron Perlman has arguably done more with one sentence for atmospheric establishment in gaming than any other person. 'War... War never changes' is one of the most iconic lines in gaming history. That much cant be argued. It was great to get a first taste of new, shiny Fallout 4 Perlman and his famous line in the trailer, but what's really interesting is the use of his voice in a clearly non-narrator role. The murmuring over an intercom, waiting and worrying about the bombs suggests that we could be in for more from him than ever before. The fact that he seems to be in a position in which he's privileged enough to contact other bases, and await their responses suggests his character may be quite high up in the military. His knowing smirk when questioned by a fan pre-announcement could also be a nod to an increased role this time out. There are infinite possibilities here, but if The Narrator is getting a face, something big might be set to go down.
