Fallout 4: 10 Most Impactful Side-Quests You Need To Find

2. The Silver Shroud

Head on over to the Memory Den in Goodneighbor and you'll find a happy-go-lucky Ghoul by the name of Kent Connolly sat by the window, listening intently to the radio. He'll ask you if you're a fan of The Silver Shroud, an episodic pre-war show about the titular crime-fighting detective. Think Sherlock Holmes, but with a better fashion sense. Kent will then ask you to help him clear Goodneighbor's streets of crime by retrieving the one surviving costume of his favourite character, before indulging in a spot of role play. Events unfold comically at first. You waste a few low level criminals while putting on a hilariously awful 'Shroud Voice' and Goodneighbor's quality of life improves because of it. But, as we all know, no good deed goes unpunished. Your actions soon attract the attention of a crime kingpin by the name of Shinjin, who's abducted Kent and goaded you into a final confrontation. The light-hearted quest can quickly become heartbreaking, though. If you're charisma isn't appropriately high level, Shinjin will execute the innocent Kent before your very eyes before setting his sights on you. Even if you manage to save Kent, he'll remain scarred from the experience and lose faith in humanity. Grim.
