Fallout 4: 7 Huge DLC Rumors And Possible Locations
3. Maine
Alternatively to - or as well as - Providence, we could see a Fallout 4 DLC offering players the chance to explore the rural backwaters of Maine - the forested northern end of the New England region. Such a DLC would effectively be Fallout 4's answer to the Point Lookout DLC of Fallout 3, whose relatively unradiated and verdant climes provided a welcome contrast to the oppressively grey and urban DC Wasteland. That's not to say Fallout 4 didn't address its predecessor's murky colour palette, but a more open, natural environment would still offer a nice sort-of holiday from gritty Boston. Thanks to its out-of-the-way location and large supplies of natural fresh water, Maine could remain relatively unaffected by the nuclear blasts. With its abundance of lakes, bays, forests, and small seaside towns, it'd be a far cry from the Boston Wasteland, and could even be a peaceful area that's recently come under attack from wayward super mutants, or which has acted as a base for the nefarious Enclave to regroup and try to become a power again. Any chance to take the Fallout experience to a more rural area would be most welcome.
