Fallout 4 Survival Mode: 10 Tips & Tricks You Can't Live Without
4. Set Up Quest Routes
Never heard of a quest route before? Well you shouldn't have, because that expression has been coined right here and now. Remember it well when you're carrying out missions around the wasteland.
Without fast travel, it can be extremely troublesome (but completely thrilling) to get from one quest location to another, or even to complete a quest. Sometimes, you get sent on an errand across the map, and it can be a long, treacherous road to go back and pick up your reward. That's where quest routes come in.
The idea is that you make all your assigned quests visible on the map, then set your sights on a quest that has plenty on other quests enroute to it. Carry out as many missions as you can along the way (sleeping between each one if possible), so you don't have to retread old ground later. Once you've reached the quest at the end of your route, pick another quest that has plenty of other quests along the way to it, and repeat.
It may sound a bit methodical, but you need to be when there's so much at stake. You'll thank me later...
