Drafting in Dimitri Payet in August of last year was probably one of the best calls a Fantasy League manager could have made last season. And all they needed to do was examine his previous season’s stellar statistics for Marseille, where he had been the king of the assists (17) for the entire of Europe. Last season Henrikh Mkhitaryan totalled 15 as he scooped the Bundesliga Players’ Player of the Season. It goes without saying that he placed as the league’s highest assist leader.

Were Mkhitaryan to repeat his feat for Manchester United this season, he would be worth his weight in gold. The Armenian is devilishly talented, equally capable off either foot and his deliveries are immaculate. No stranger to a goal either, Mkhitaryan bagged 23 last season and has 70 in his last three seasons.

He is a must-have for Fantasy League players - he will be the next Payet.*

*Not guaranteed. Could just as easily be the next Di Maria.
