FIFA 14: 10 EPL Players Who Will Definitely Be Over-Rated

9. Kolo Toure

Team: Liverpool The lesser-talented Toure brother might be enjoying something of a resurgence in Red this season, having left Manchester City to head for Anfield earlier in the summer, but that doesn't mean he should enjoy an upturn in rating. And that's not necessarily to say he doesn't deserve it in real terms - last season he was a bit part player, never able to string together many performances and build up match fitness or sharpness, and this year he has already shown himself worthy of a place in Liverpool's starting line-up - it's just that an increase in rating would be ridiculous from last year. Somewhat unthinkably, Ultimate Team last year ranked Toure at 81, and 83 as a defender, including an eye-water 85 for shooting. Quite who they were looking at when they came up with that rating is anyone's guess, but it can't have been the City defender who did very little to warrant anything above a 70 last year. Now that his resurgence is being talked up, as well as his inevitable importance to Liverpool, there is zero chance EA Sports are going to drop his rating to an acceptable level. They might go below the 80 mark, which would be more than right, but the chances of him getting the high 60s rating he currently deserves are probably slim to none, and thus he's another for the inevitably over-rated pile.
