Another Manchester United player who has suffered a dramatic slump in form in real life yet still managed to attain a favourable FIFA rating is Antonio Valencia. The Ecuadorian was rated 83 in the latest iteration of the long-running series, despite the fact he has quite evidently gone backwards since breaking his ankle back in 2010 against Rangers. Since then, the winger has scored one, four, one and zero league goals in each of his last four seasons and is a member of what many consider to be the worst United midfield in years. A source of persistent frustration for his tendencies not to shoot when in a good position, Valencia has only rarely shown glimpses of form that suggest he's worthy of his rating of 83.
