With a rating of 87, Manchester United's Nemanja Vidic is considered the 15th best player in FIFA 14, the joint-best defender alongside Philipp Lahm and a better player than Vincent Kompany. Unfortunately for the big Serb, none of these things are true out in the real world when the Xbox console has been unplugged. It's actually quite baffling how the powers-that-be over at EA arrived at this rating, particularly when you take into account Vidic has only played 31 times over the last two seasons because of a chronic knee injury. There may have been a time when Vidic warranted such a lofty rating, but at the age of 31, those times are long gone.
