1. Fallible Referees
FIFA referees seem to be almost robotic, infallible, incapable of making bad decisions. Especially the linesmen. Offside decisions are correct 100% of the time. Which, of course, does not adequately reflect upon the real world of football. Offside goals are allowed almost every week when they should have been chalked off, players not booked at all after a red-card challenge, and penalty claims waved away when the ref should have pointed to the spot. Okay, some of the time, penalties aren't given when they should have been in the FIFA series, but EA need to expand on this by putting in more dubious calls, like offside/onside decisions. Referees aren't perfect, and this needs to be conveyed in FIFA 14.
Until these changes are made, EA cannot say they have the most realistic game on the market.
