FIFA 14: Incredible First Look At New Graphics Engine
With last night's not-entirely enticing announcement of the curiously named XBox One came the revelation that EA Sports' behemoth football franchise FIFA would be landing on the next generation. Okay, so not many gamers wouldn't have guessed as much, but it's always nice to have some confirmation. And with that news, EA Sports have also announced that their stable of sports titles will be powered by a brand new game engine, which promises to make the experience better-looking than any previous EA Sports titles have ever been. The engine also promises to feature players who think, move, and behave like real athletes and dynamic living worlds, "transforming the way people play and experience games on next gen consoles." Beautiful. So what else have learned? Well, the news confirms that we will see the new graphics engine - called EA Sports Ignite - used for Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, NBA LIVE 14, and EA SPORTS UFC, all of which will launch within the next 12 months on both the XBox One and the PS4. Now that they've confirmed that the looks of the game will be getting an uplift, perhaps EA Sports will put some effort into solving the following small but incredibly annoying problems with FIFA 13.
