FIFA 15: 10 Great Players Who've Already Been Downgraded
9. Edinson Cavani - FIFA 14: 87, FIFA 15: 86
The last year has not run as smoothly for Edinson Cavani as he might have wished. Ever since sealing a blockbuster 64.5 million move to PSG from Napoli last summer, he has struggled under the spotlight and weight of expectation in the French capital. Overshadowed by the exquisite talents of the star of the show Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cavani has often served as a sidekick, drafted out wide in an unfamiliar position. As a result, he mustered a modest 16 league goals, as opposed to the 29 he had plundered the previous season in Serie A. Consequently, his rating has been affected. No longer viewed as one of the most coveted strikers in the world, his reputation has certainly been dealt a blow over the last 12 months, having missed high-profile and costly chances when forced to lead the line at Stamford Bridge in April, before failing to inspire Uruguay in Luis Suarez' absence at the World Cup. Some have even mooted that he is simply a South American Andy Carroll, so it's no surprise that the 27 year old has been reduced to a rating of 86 from the lofty heights of 87. Still, the creators of EA Sports haven't completely jumped on the anti-Cavani bandwagon, as he still comes in as the 33rd best footballer on the planet.
