FIFA 15: 10 Great Players Who've Already Been Downgraded
8. Cesc Fabregas - FIFA 14: 86, FIFA 15: 84
A year is a long time in football. Last summer, Cesc Fabregas was stating that his future lay at the Nou Camp, fending off interest from Manchester United. Within a year, he would be sidling up alongside Jose Mourinho - a man he once told to 'shut his mouth'. The former Arsenal captain is 27 years old, and in the peak of his career, yet the FIFA 15 demotion from 86 to 84 would have one believing otherwise. Last season, he made more appearances for the Catalan giants than in either of his two previous seasons, but stats don't tell the whole story. Marginalised due to the form of Andres Iniesta, Fabregas was often restricted to substitute appearances and being played out of position - mostly up front. Having to endure a rare, trophyless season at the Nou Camp, Fabregas was castigated by certain sections of the support, lambasted as a scapegoat of the side. Struggling to find any rhythm to his natural game, it was no surprise that the World Cup winner needed an exit strategy. Having displayed some fine touches for Chelsea already this season, helping himself to a handful of assists already, it looks like Fabregas has found solace. If he keeps up his early season form, he certainly won't be stuck on his current rating for next year's edition.
