FIFA 15: 10 Highest-Rated Premier League Players Leaked

7. Mesut Ozil (87)

Another player who has reportedly retained their player rating from last year's game is Mesut Ozil. The midfielder became the most expensive German of all time and Arsenal's costliest-ever player when he joined the Gunners from Real Madrid last summer for £42.5 million but his debut campaign in the Premier League ran somewhat hot and cold. Ozil scored five league goals last term and provided nine assists but despite this received criticism by some who felt he wasn't giving it 100% and looked disinterested. Indeed, the Germany World Cup winner did look a little lost last season and appeared fatigued, with manager Arsene Wenger having to rest him at times; meaning the ex-Madrid man only started 14 full games. His fatigue can be easily explained. In his three seasons at Real, Ozil only played the full 90 minutes 25 times. Upon moving to England, he completed 80 minutes of football or more 32 times. He also hasn't been granted the luxury of a winter break his body has become accustomed to following his spells playing in Germany and Spain and he has had to adapt to the physicality of the Premier League. Because of this, we haven't seen a Mesut Ozil firing on all cylinders quite yet, meaning the Germany midfielder has retained his rating from the last iteration in the franchise and remains on 87. This season shall be a big one for the 25-year-old, as he sets out to prove he can make it in English football.
