Though the player models are improved with each and every instalment in the FIFA franchise, there always felt like there was something missing. Lionel Messi looked more and more realistic in each game but there was a vacuous emptiness behind the eyes of the worlds greatest player which ruined the realistic presentation. EA Sports have made their visually exquisite players decidedly more human by giving them emotional intelligence. Now their facial expressions and general body language reflect how they are performing on the pitch. Just like in real life, scoring blinding goals, missing clear-cut chances and committing to ugly tackles will trigger one of the 600 emotional reactions EA Sports have added to FIFA 15. All 22 players on the pitch also have an emotional memory which will make them increasingly frustrated by consecutive mistakes. Expect to see Balotelli slamming the ground in frustration, Gerrard giving the team a pep talk and Suarez tucking into Chiellinis shoulder (just kidding), all powered by the might of the Ignite engine.
