FIFA 15: 50 Highest Rated Players In 2014

15. Sergio Ramos - Real Madrid (87)

POSITION: CB - PACE: 79 - DRIBBLING: 66 - SHOOTING: 60 - DEFENDING: 87 - PASSING: 71 - PHYSICAL: 82 Sergio Ramos has shown his goalscoring prowess over the last few months, and even showed off a 'Panenka' style penalty during Spain's Euro 2016 qualifying win over Macedonia. But being a goalscorer is one of the added benefits in the Ramos package. He may be partial to the odd red card, but Ramos is an unforgiving defender who loves to get stuck in. He's been a mainstay of the Spanish national side for the best part of a decade - and has 120 caps under his belt by the age of 28! Ramos is represented well in FIFA 15, and given it's difficult to split Thiago Silva from Ramos in terms of quality, the pair going in to the game level sounds about right.

14. Gareth Bale - Real Madrid (87)

POSITION: RM - PACE: 94 - DRIBBLING: 84 - SHOOTING: 83 - DEFENDING: 63 - PASSING: 83 - PHYSICAL: 81 The world's most expensive player has been one of the most exciting players to play as in the recent editions of the FIFA series. This year will be no different, as his rating has stayed significantly high. His FUT card characteristics are quite spectacular, with his physical ability bumped into the 80's after his recent summer bulk. Bale has pace to burn and even outranks Cristiano Ronaldo in that department, making him a nightmare for opposing players.

13. Philipp Lahm - Bayern Munich (87)

POSITION: CDM - PACE: 76 - DRIBBLING: 83 - SHOOTING: 56 - DEFENDING: 87 - PASSING: 84 - PHYSICAL: 67 Considering the volume of class midfielders on FIFA in recent years, it's a shame to see Philipp Lahm move from a right back default position into his new defensive midfield spot. Pep Guardiola had previously shifted the man who lifted the World Cup this summer successfully into a position that can prolong his career, while his international retirement will also help in that sense. Lahm is as consistent as they come, and EA are quick to tell us that too - he's been rated at 87 overall on the last four editions of the game.

12. Radamel Falcao - Manchester United (88)

POSITION: ST - PACE: 77 - DRIBBLING: 81 - SHOOTING: 86 - DEFENDING: 40 - PASSING: 64 - PHYSICAL: 73 It's a shame for Manchester United fans that new striker Radamel Falcao's overall standing has dropped - he was in the dizzy heights of the 90's last year. But his cruciate ligament injury ended his season and World Cup hopes early on in 2014. The Colombian is still a top class striker and will bring his talents to England this season after agreeing a shock loan move to United, but his sub ratings on his card are a little underwhelming. His physical ability and dribbling should arguably be a little higher.

11. Robin van Persie - Manchester United (88)

POSITION: ST - PACE: 74 - DRIBBLING: 83 - SHOOTING: 90 - DEFENDING: 33 - PASSING: 82 - PHYSICAL: 68 It's a mouth watering prospect seeing Robin van Persie team with the likes of Falcao, Angel Di Maria, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata come September 26th, but where will they all fit in? Manchester United's front line is an ultimate team in itself - and van Persie has long been one of the ultimate strikers on the game. Boasting incredibly powerful and accurate shooting ability, RVP remains as deadly as ever. He's even come out recently to say he wants to play on until he's 40... Who else is wondering who he'll be playing for on FIFA 25?
