FIFA 14 Rating - 84 Courtois had an outstanding season at Atletico last season, keeping out some of the world's top strikers with a series of phenomenal stops to drive his club to the La Liga title and a Champions League final, overcoming his parent club Chelsea along the way. Already very highly rated, his emergence as Jose Mourinho's No.1 following his battle with Petr Cech should see his rating take a small but significant rise above his Czech counterpart. EA will be wary of raising his stats too high given his young age, but it's quite possible his overall number will get pushed up to Cech's current level of 85, while Cech himself sees a small drop to 84 or 83 to reflect his advancing age. It's hard to pinpoint any particular shortcomings in Courtois' game which can be reflected in FIFA. Indeed, his main obstacle this season may be building a similar level of understanding with his defence, captain John Terry in particular, as his predecessor forged over a decade. Courtois certainly shouldn't see any individual stat drops, rather small increases in most areas.
