Though he is still easily one of the worlds great players, Franck Ribérys stock has taken a knock in recent times. After the Frenchman missed out on what many believe to have been his best shot at a Ballon Dor earlier this year his hot streak at Bayern rather abruptly derailed. The ongoing trial were Ribéry and fellow French international Benzema were accused of paying for sex with an underage prostitute surely didnt help matters either. They were both cleared of all charges in late January. In the Bavarian clubs historical 2012/13 in which they won the treble, Ribéry was arguably the pivotal figure in using his formidable pace to carve open an opposition from the wing, with perhaps the best passing game of any active winger. Ribéry has certainly declined in quality under Guardiola's philosophy, often going missing in huge games. The 31-year-old winger seems to have started his decline, arguably losing his most potent weapon, his explosive speed. Lowering Ribérys rating anymore would be madness but EA must reflect that the Frenchman isnt the player he was 2-years ago.
