With Barcelona having endured a miserable campaign last term, many would have expected lower ratings for the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta - after all, they had followed up a dreadful domestic season with an even worse World Cup showing. However, Iniesta's stock has only been hit by a demotion of one place, and still maintains his lofty rating of 89. After the season he's just had, one might expect a few complainants to emerge from the shadows regarding this one.
5. Manuel Neuer - 90
FIFA 14 Rank: 32nd
A year ago, Manuel Neuer was rated as the 32nd best player in the world. Fast forward twelve months, and not only is he regarded as the best goalkeeper in the game, but he is also the fifth best footballer in the game. The rise of Neuer shouldn't be too shocking, considering the year he has just had. While the treble-winning 12/13 season was as perfect as any domestic campaign could be, this year Neuer was awarded the FIFA World Cup Golden Glove as Germany were crowned World Cup champions. Two more medals were put in the cabinet on the domestic cabinet, so this FIFA 15 recognition will come as a nice little bun in his lunchbox for the 'keeper-sweeper'.
