Gerard Pique is a criminally underrated defender, being left out of the last two FIFPro World XIs despite being arguably the best out-and-out centre back in the world right now. His arrival to Barcelona from Manchester United seems like centuries ago when in fact it was in 2008. Since then, he's been the one constant defensive component in a team that has won five league titles and a staggering three Champions League trophies. That's not even mentioning his country where he has earned 69 caps, winning the 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championships in the process. You simply don't win all of those honours without a top class defender in the mix. Pique is that man. Suggested Rating: 86
