FIFA 17: 10 Best Free Agents You Need To Sign

2. Gervinho (80)

Ivorian winger Gervinho is probably the biggest name free agent in FIFA 17. British football fans might remember him best for his largely unsuccessful time at Arsenal (and his wonderful haircut, of course), but don’t let that put you off. Gervinho is an excellent signing for any club in this year’s game, and his ability to play at RW, LW, or even as a makeshift CF make him very versatile.

First and foremost, Gervinho is an athletic beast. He boasts a high/medium workrate and 90 for stamina, but he resembles Roadrunner just as much as a Duracell Bunny: Gervinho comes with 91 acceleration, 92 sprint speed, and 88 agility. He’s lightning, and his incredible speed is really hammered home by the Speedster speciality that he comes with.

What else does he have in his locker, though? Gervinho’s quickness is definitely the strongest part of his game, but he’s a great dribbler (84) too, and more than capable of delivering an accurate cross (75) in the right situation. While not exactly lethal in the box, Gervinho comes with finishing of 72, so he’s got a good chance of finishing any chances he’s able to create with his pace.

It’s hard to argue with Gervinho’s raw statistics. He’s perfectly suited to playing in the Premier League despite his mixed fortunes at Arsenal, and if you put him in your side, your opponent's full-backs will hate you forever.
