FIFA 17: 10 Best Free Agents You Need To Sign

3. Graziano Pelle (80)

Every successful side needs a big lump they can stick up front when all else fails, and Graziano Pelle is a great option in this role. He stands at a towering 6’4”, and with 91 heading accuracy, the Power Header and Target Forward traits, and the Aerial Threat speciality, he’s one of the best target men in the game. Equip your side with a couple of decent wingers and start whipping balls into the box: Pelle will score bucketloads.

As you’d expect from a man of his playing style, Pelle is slow and not particularly comfortable with the ball at his feet. Still, strength of 91 means he’s adept at getting involved in hold-up play, and his 83 positioning often compensates for his lack of natural athleticism. Furthermore, having 83 reactions gives him a natural predatory instinct that allows him to dominate in the box.

He’s 30 years old, but Pelle is almost everything you could want in a target man. He’s the type of forward who eats weak defenders for breakfast, and with FIFA 17’s slightly improved crossing mechanics, Pelle is a great focal point for any attack. Just don’t ask him to do much more than shoot, head the ball, and hold it up.
