FIFA 17: 10 Ratings They Got Wildly Wrong (Based On Last Season)
1. Eden Hazard
FIFA 17 Rating -88
Few can dispute the fact that Hazard possesses the raw talent and ability that you’d expect of an 88-rated player, but the Chelsea talisman seldom displayed his natural gifts during a season in which he seemed preoccupied with leading the dressing room insurgency against manager Jose Mourinho.
Even the Special One’s eventual sacking couldn’t stir Hazard from his semi-permanent slumber, his non-performances contributing heavily to Chelsea’s descent down the table as he failed to score for 30 matches in League and Cup - 2,358 scoreless minutes to be precise - until he converted a penalty in an FA Cup fourth round victory over MK Dons on the last day of January.
It wasn’t until late-April that Hazard’s season finally flickered into life, scoring his first goal of the season and later producing a rare moment of brilliance to decide the course of the Premier League title for the second year running.
His equaliser against Tottenham in a 2-2 draw essentially handed the trophy to Leicester at Spurs’ expense and demonstrated the spectacular capabilities of the Belgian international when he is playing with 100% focus.
Regretfully, a late season flourish isn’t enough to justify the overall rating EA have given Hazard.
