FIFA 17 Rating - 80

Once the bedrock of Chelsea’s back four, Ivanovic experienced an unexpected and rather alarming dip in standards during a season in which he epitomised the limp, error-ridden surrender that was the West London clubs’ Premier League title defence.

Ivanovic had sculpted a reputation as one of the most reliable full-backs in the Premier League over the previous seven and a half years at Stamford Bridge, but the Serbian international was much maligned last term due to his consistently dreadful performances. His limitations were badly exposed in particular when squared up in a 1-v-1 duel against a pacy winger, and yet he has still been treated kindly by EA after being bestowed an underserved overall rating of 80.
