Michael Carrick signed for Manchester United ten years ago this summer and as such is the club’s current longest-serving player.

The Geordie probably never thought he would stay this long, especially considering the sceptics and criticism when he was given the hallowed no.16 upon his arrival. Having signed a new contract, his rating remains unaltered.
