FIFA 19: 10 Stadiums That Need To Be In The Game
5. Krestovsky Stadium (Zenit Saint Petersburg)
Speaking of the World Cup, it'll emanate from Russia this Summer. That means some of EA's focus should shift to ensuring that series fans get to play in a few of the Russian Premier League's bigger stadiums come FIFA 19's release.
As much as it'd be nice to see the Luzhniki Stadium or Spartak Moscow's Otkritie Arena in the game, the Krestovsky Stadium (also known as Saint Petersburg Stadium and Zenit Arena) must be number one on EA's shortlist. Home to Zenit Saint Petersburg, the building replaced Zenit's old Petrovsky Stadium last year and will play host to the World Cup semi final on 10 July.
It's an imposing venue, has an air of Milan's famous San Siro and is home to a Champions League regular. With a capacity of over 68,000 and a beautiful waterfront location perfect for pre-match flyovers, it'd be a sweet addition to FIFA.
Besides, genericism has been an issue for Russian football in EA's franchise for years now. Time to change that.
