2. Manuel Neuer
Manuel Neuer has been hailed as the best goalkeeper in the world for five years, has started making mistakes for Bayern Munich and the German national team, diminishing his status.
To be fair to Neuer, he was injured for the majority of the 2017/2018 season, so we can rule that one out as a non-factor. However he started every game for Germany at the 2018 World Cup and was far from impressive in their three games and two losses. He's also prone to making the odd Loris Karius-style mistake and is 32 years old - not old for a goalie but certainly peaked.
All of this is to say that Neuer's star is quickly fading while the likes of David De Gea, Alisson Becker, Ederson, and Hugo Lloris are clawing at the number one spot. Neuer is no longer the world's best goalkeeper and his FIFA 19 rating should reflect that.
