FIFA 19 Beta Review: 8 Hands-On Impressions You Need To Know

5. But Career Mode Hasn't Changed Enough

By far the most frustrating thing about FIFA 19, however, are the lack of changes to Career Mode. Yes, players will be able to get into European competition and customise their manager with a variety of different outfits, but the mode is still a ways away from realising its full potential.

Worse still, it actually feels as though a lot of these upgrades could've probably been added to FIFA 18 in gradual updates to the game. That isn't the case though, and those looking to invest heavily in Career Mode are likely to feel shortchanged just a few months after FIFA 19 releases, as EA once again focus their efforts on the perennial cash cow that is FIFA Ultimate Team.

It's just disappointing, and though these changes are welcome, it's still a case of too little, too late.
