FIFA 21: 10 Players Who Will Be Horribly Underrated
7. Fred (Manchester United)
After Fred's £53,000,000 move to Manchester United, the Brazilian midfielder massively failed to live up to his price tag in his first season and seemed set to be the latest financial disappointment from Ed Woodward.
Fred has proved the doubters wrong, becoming an absolutely crucial piece to the Red Devils' midfield in the absence of Pogba and McTominay, who both saw lay-offs with injury.
Fred began FIFA 20 with a 79 rating and his current H2H rating sees him go up to just 80.
His real-life stats, when compared to other Premier League midfielders, suggest an overhanging opinion that Fred is still not doing particularly well in an underperforming United side.
In this pool of players of 80 and 81 rated midfielders, Fred comes top or second top in tackles and tackles per 90, duels and duels per 90, clearances, blocks, total passes, passes per 90 and touches per match.
Fred is a tough battler in the middle of the park, and whilst his percentages won may not be particularly high, he is very quick to stamp his authority on the game. His high passes and touches per match also suggest he has become a key outlet for the team when building from the back.
A return to the 82 he held in FIFA 19 is no less than he deserves.
