FIFA 21: 10 Players Who Will Be Horribly Underrated
2. Alassane Plea (Borussia Monchengladbach)
Borussia Monchengladbach emerged as the underdog story of the Bundesliga this season.
For a large stretch of the season, they looked as if they may walk away unlikely champions, and although their form has dropped off a little, they still find themselves in 4th, just 6 points off of the top.
A large contributing factor to that has been the good form of Alassane Plea.
In his 2nd full season in the Bundesliga, Plea has a return of 15 goals and assists (8 and 7 respectively) in 22 games, showing that he is just as much the creator as he is the striker.
To put this into context, in the 2018/19 season he managed 16 goals and assists in 34 games. EA decided this was worthy to upgrade him from an 80 to an 81 between FIFA 19 and FIFA 20.
However, for some mysterious reason, EA has decided that Plea is going to have a downgrade, with his H2H rating going back down to 80.
There seems to be no genuine reasoning behind this. Roberto Firmino has managed 8 goals and 7 assists in 29 games - or the exact same output as Plea in 7 more games - and yet looks to be upgraded to an outrageous 88.
Please, EA, sort it out. Your Premier League bias is showing.
