FIFA 23 Review: 8 Ups & 6 Downs

5. Women’s Club Teams

FIFA 23
EA

EA introduced women's international sides in FIFA 16, but there's been next-to-no updates on the female front since. That's why it's so pleasing to report that FIFA 23 serves up English WSL and D1 Arkema clubs from France. Yep, you can finally play as women's club teams.

This is long overdue and adds extra value to the package.

Also, and this definitely shouldn't be overlooked, EA's decision represents a massive leap forwards for women's football in general. Think of how exciting it must be for these players to take centre stage in the biggest footy title on the market. Similarly, imagine how inspired millions of young girls who previously felt like they were on the outside looking in will be.

This inclusion is wonderful, and it's not even half-baked either. One word of warning though; maybe spruce up on your skills before taking on Lyon, because those ladies are dynamite on the counter. Nobody wants to lose 5-0 to the same counter press like this idiot, put it that way.
