First Borderlands 3 Trailer Is FINALLY Here

New characters, new abilities, and 1 BILLION guns.

After seven years of waiting, the worst kept secret in the games industry has finally been unveiled. After a month of teasing and a short trailer dropping earlier in the week, Gearbox officially unveiled Borderlands 3 with a hefty 3:40 reveal video last night.

Offering fans a substantial look at the sequel, the trailer was a confident move forward for the franchise, which hasn't received a proper sequel so far this generation. Highlighting new and returning characters, the first look is admittedly tantalising, and seems to have offset worries that the game might be coming a little too late, in an era of gaming that's moved on.

Nailing a comedic sensibility that so many other games have embarrassingly failed to capture, Gearbox's latest project looks far more promising than the tiles they've released in between instalments. Even better, it appears quite far along in development, with another look at the title being promised for April 3rd. Consequently, it shouldn't be long before fans get their hands on it themselves. After seven years, what's a couple more months?
