5. Sandro
According to last year's Football Manager, Tottenham's Brazilian centre-midfielder is basically the greatest player in the world, despite the fact that he is a defensive midfielder, and shouldn't be considered anything like the play-making colossus he could become in the game. SI Games, or at least the Spurs scouting team clearly have a thing for the player, as his potential was almost off the charts, making him a far more valuable acquisition (available for between £20 million and £30 million to anyone with the cash and the will) who isn't an attacker. He is one of the best anchor midfielders in the entire game, and as time passes, his stats actually improve, pushing his value up higher as he closes in on 30. Regardless of his price tag, Sandro is a must-buy for anyone with the cash, because of his impact on the team, especially for those looking for an anchoring midfielder, which is plainly not a reflection of his true ability. He is good yes, but he is definitely not that good. What Are The Chances? Sandro's rating could perhaps be a symptom of unfamiliarity and hype, and after a full season in the league, hopefully his scores will come down a little to reflect his real ability. He's certainly not a bad, or even mediocre player, but he's just too good in last year's game.
