Football Manager 2015: 15 Wonderkids You Must Watch Out For

11. Ryan Gauld (Sporting Lisbon)

Staying in Portugal, Sporting Lisbon have also gave their share of talents to the footballing world, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo the most famous. A somewhat late bloomer is 22-year-old William Carvalho, with several English clubs reported to be willing to meet his ‚37m release clause. He's not young enough to be a wonderkid, though. This isn't true for Scotland's great hope, Ryan Gauld. Aged 18, the attacking midfielder has been named in Gordan Strachan's squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers. Gauld has just signed for Sporting from Dundee United, for a fee of around £3m. Dubbed 'Baby Messi' at Tannadice, the numble left-footer hopes to replicate and exceed Eric Dier's success in Lisbon. On FM15, due to this recent transfer, it's unlikely that Gauld can be tempted away during his first season. But he'll be brilliant.
