Do you want instant success? Are you in the market for a striker? Do you have to bear finances in mind? Are you man (or woman) enough to accept that sometimes players over 30 are worth signing? If you've answered yes to all, congratulations, you've won. You're also ready to snap up Jonas from Benfica for a relatively minimal fee.
The 31-year-old probably has two more years at the top level, but with a release clause of £7.25m, I'd say he's certainly worth a punt. After all, what is £3.62m per season if he helps you to a couple of league titles? Jonas isn't a long-term option (there are plenty of them coming up soon...) but if you just need another established striker in your ranks, there aren't many better.
