Football Manager 2018: 20 Wonderkids You Will Need To Sign

2. Maximiliano Romero

Though he's yet to make a complete breakthrough at Velez, Maximiliano Romero is considered one of Argentina's most exciting young forwards. The 18-year-old was an excellent pick-up in FM17, with his movement and finishing skills making him an ideal candidate for an advanced role, even if his stats started off a little rough around the edges.

With time, however, Romero developed into a highly effective striker capable of plying his trade at the highest level. What's more, he was available for a snip at £2.5 million, making him an easy buy for anyone capable of securing a work permit. There's no guarantee his potential will be as high in FM18, but if it is, Romero will be on many a manager's shortlist.
