This is something this writer has whinged about before in games like FIFA and PES, and it's not any less applicable to Football Manager just because of the differing gameplay style.

SI's dedication to including unique club histories is awesome. Upon signing on as manager at a new team, it's fun to explore their trophy-laden past and discover who fans held in high regard. It's time to go one step further and develop some sort of offshoot mode that capitalises on this lore.

Imagine being able to relive Liverpool's unlikely Champions League win in 2005, or see your exciting tactics grab the title on the last day of the 2011-2012 season for Man City. Or, if the developers are feeling rather bold, how about a season-long scenario mode that recaptures the glory of Man Utd's treble-winning season in 1998-1999?

These old-school challenges could come with limitations, and they'd be a perfect feature for the pick-up-and-play feel of FM Touch. If SI could rid that game of bugs and give players historical thrills on-the-go, they could be onto something special.
