Football Manager 2020: 10 Essential Fan Demands It Must Include

2. Mentor Figures

For over a decade now, gamers have been given the opportunity to have some of their senior players mentor the younger members of their FM squad, and that same principle is something that could actually be applied to the gamer in question upon making their first steps into football management.

To give an example of this, let’s just say you’re a big believer of Pep Guardiola’s methods – who isn’t? – and would love to get the sort of fluidity and quick press of a classic Guardiola team. Wouldn’t it be great if you, the budding new manager that you are, could approach the Manchester City boss and ask to be taken under his wing? If Pep gives you the A-OK, you would then get hints and tips from him in regards to tactics, formations and man management, not to mention it could also open up the door for Guardiola to offer you loan players along the way.

Sure, there is already a feeder club option available in FM, but this would be more about striking up a relationship with an established manager; a relationship that would continue regardless of any new club your mentor would move to.
