Whilst the women’s game is still not quite at the same level of quality and exposure as men’s football, measures are slowly but surely being made to increase the presence of women’s football. And what better way to help progress women’s football than by including it in Football Manager 2020?

For many avid football fans, there are two gaming staples that they obsess over: Football Manager and FIFA. To its credit, FIFA introduced women’s teams as far back as FIFA 16. But still, FM has yet to catch up with FIFA’s progressive move.

Given how the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup is bringing new eyes to the women’s game, one would have to think that FM 2020 would be the perfect time to add women’s teams to Football Manager – be that as part of the grand scheme of a club, or as a separate entity that you can manage away from the men’s teams.
