1. The Chance To Become A Director Of Football

For many of us, Football Manager is all about the daily grind and the minute details of assembling a team capable of dismantling any opponent that they come up against. Still, what about if you were afforded the chance to take a backseat from the more day-to-day aspects of the beautiful game?

An idea that’s been floated around by franchise fans for several years now is for FM to have director of football roles available for players to take up. Whether you can start from scratch in these roles or it would be a case of having to work towards them, that’s a discussion for another day. For now, it’s about just trying to get directors of football added as a playable option in the first place.

As a director of football, gamers would be able to look more at player development, at identifying potential transfer targets, or even having a say in who the club’s manager should be. That brings with it so much of the FM fun, yet doesn’t require hours and hours of arduous tinkering of tactics, training schedules, or dealing so much with stroppy prima donna players on a regular basis.
