6. Nation Challenges
It's all well and good having challenges for the clubs, but why not the national teams? This would represent something new for the series. They do say variety is the spice of life, so this would be spicy.
You could have to guide a national team through a rebuild as five front-line players all retire. How about having to lead your nation to glory in a tournament whilst most of the players are suffering from food poisoning (for example).
What if you had to be France in the late 90s but Thierry Henry and Zinedine Zidane don’t exist? The possibilities are multiple and would add some variety to the existing challenge mode.
